Mural, inflatable tunnel, animation, video, vinyl text



The glass elevator that takes the viewers to the piece runs through the three floors of the museum. The elevetor is flooded with blue light and a text on the glass reads: Aquarium


When the viewer arrives they are surrounded by a striped mural. In the center of the space there is a white inflatable tunnel. The interior of the tunnel is a colored spiral. Inside the tunnel the viewers can jump, run, walk, etc from the entrance point to the exit. The stripes of the mural match the colors of the stripes of the tunnel.


A flat screen monitor features an animation where the evolution of all species is taking place. The animation loop starts with an amoeba and ends when it gets to the monkey.


At the other side of the space another video piece deconstructs the staged relationship between animals and viewers at a museum seating. The piece was shoot at the Academy of Science of San Francisco.
